The Start point: Exit 215 off I-5. There is a small park & ride on the West side of the freeway. Old Hwy 99. The start to be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday February 13.
We will cruise North on back roads to Conway, then more back roads to the Skagit Wild Life Area. After a short stop, hopefully observing some of the birds of the season, we will meander around more back roads to explore Fir Island. The next phase is to cross the North Fork of the Skagit River, and take back roads to La Conner, for lunch at the Seafood and Prime Rib Restaurant overlooking the Swinomish Channel.
For those still ready for adventure, we will take some less driven roads that take us past Lake Campbell, Lake Erie, and Heart Lake, to drop down into old town Anacortes to a deli for dessert, maybe ice cream. Fred says "the Adrift Deli specializes in all things Lopez Island Ice Cream". Dan Davis 2O6-643-67l8
