Our 2012 Whidbey Island Wine Tour was a combination of good friends, wine, good food, wine, good memories and more wine! After meeting up in Coupeville and stopping for coffee and donuts at the local Farmer's Market we began our day tasting some of Washington State's best wines, As five Corvairs and two water pumpers travelled around the Island, we soon appreciated the quality of the wine that Whidbey Island has to offer……NAPA Valley who? But it wasn't just tasting, The Spoiled Dog Winery gave us a tour and took us through the process of producing wine from planting to the bottle. After the tour Jack, the owner and fellow Corvair lover, spent time with us and reminisced about his 1962 Corvair he used to own. He has even posted pictures he took of our cars on their Facebook page.
As we ended our day the only thing lacking was more time to relax and visit with everyone. One thing that was gained…….. we now know the difference between a "wine tasting spittoon" and a "wine tasting fee" container! Excited for 2013's tour……
