40th Annual Pacific Northwest Corvair EconoRun

The 40th Annual Pacific Northwest Corvair EconoRun" was held this year in beautiful Wenatchee WA, the "Apple Capital of the World".  CNW hosted the event during the period of May 17-19, 2013, at the peak of the apple blossom season.  The Coast Wenatchee Hotel served as "host" hotel with the adjacent Wenatchee Convention Center providing our banquet dinner. 

Guests arrived on Friday and enjoyed an evening BBQ at one of Wenatchee's  parks.  The EconoRun mileage competition took place on Saturday morning with a scenic drive meandering through the Wenatchee valley. We were surrounded by spectacular views of apple orchards and vineyards as we cruised along side the Columbia River towards our destination in Wenatchee. Mileage awards were presented at a special awards banquet in the Wenatchee Convention Center on Saturday evening.  

Sunday morning, from 9 a.m. to noon, was the Corvair Car Show in the Convention Center parking lot where we displayed our unique and beautiful Classics to the community.  Awards in several categories for favorite Corvairs were presented at the conclusion of the show.
